BORN OF STARS AND RAIN

You're a new student who is attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As a muggleborn, it's harder for you to grasp many magical concepts, so you can build up your magical skills by going to classes, duelling with your friends (or foes) and help your friends while completing the main story! There are also side-quests and social aspects to the game. This is a game that is meant to be played the way YOU want to play it, with only your imagination (and magical skills) being the limit. This is a game made out of love for the Harry Potter franchise, and because I feel that the big companies who are currently making the games are not doing a good job at replicating what the community wants, and try to monetise every single aspect of it, I decided to put my vision of what an actual adventure should look like, one where YOU choose. I am but a simple young-adult in my room making games in his free time, and I don't have many resources so I hope this is to your liking anyway. The good thing about making this a text-adventure is that my and your imagination (and my coding skills, heh) are the only things that will limit how your game goes.

Your stats dictate how some aspects of the story and mini-games go, social actions increase charisma, studying increases magical knowledge, actually USING magic increases magic skills and so on. You can play the game focusing on specific aspects of the game, the ones you find more enjoyable, or you can try to be a master at everything. This may take more time, but if you want to do it, you CAN.

I tried to make the game as free as possible, in the sense of letting the player go at their own pace, do what they want and even skip doing the main quest entirely if they so desire. Think of this as an RPG, but without visuals, ha!

There are also hidden commands at specific locations that you can use, but there will be no indication that you can do it. If secrets were so easily findable, they wouldn't be secrets, so let your imagination (and magical knowledge) run wild in this adventure. These secrets can range from simple easter eggs to artifacts that could unlock secret interactions, and so far the only record of where these areas are is in my brain. Eventually I'll make a document listing all of them but for now let's let you discover how many and where these may be. I hope you have a great time at Hogwarts!
